This is the 7th passage in “You Have Heard,” where we facetiously edit a Scripture to make it read like we often tend to live it out in our lives.
In this post, we examine John’s instructions regarding the essentiality of disciples obeying Jesus:
5 This is the message we have heard from him our pastor and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth have absolutely nothing to worry about because Jesus has already done all the work. 7 But even if we do not walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
