This is the 6th passage in “You Have Heard,” where we facetiously edit a Scripture to make it read like we often tend to live it out in our lives.
In this passage, we look at Paul’s instructions to rejoice which are found in Philippians 4:4-6.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always when you feel moved or something really good happens. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness self-reliance be evident to all. The Lord is near concerned with more important matters than you. 6 Do not be anxious about anything as long as you feel ‘in control,’ but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving as a last resort when all else fails, present your requests to God.
