Principle
Under the Law of Moses, an Israelite who didn’t keep Passover was destroyed and cut off from Israel.
Explanation
We have previously established that, under the Law of Moses, the three special feasts were important to GOD.
Like other instructions, such as circumcision and purging leaven on the Day of Preparation for Passover, failure to celebrate Passover (when one was capable of doing so) resulted in the penalty of being destroyed and separated from Israel.
Moses wrote:
13 But the man who is clean and is not on a distant journey, but fails to keep Pascha, that soul shall be utterly destroyed from among his people, because he did not bring his gift to the Lord at its appointed time; that man shall bear his guilt.
Numbers 9:13 OSB
(Note: Pascha is the English transliteration of the Greek word πάσχα, τό used for “Passover” in the Septuagint and New Testament.)
