This article looks at the unified nature of GOD.

The Godhead is comprised of the Father, Word/Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. The three deities, which are collectively called GOD, are perfectly and completely unified. Because they are unified, the Scriptures state numerous times that there is "one GOD."

Here are a number of Scriptures that speak to the unity of all three Persons in the Godhead.

Father, Word and Spirit were Involved in Creation

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
(Gen. 1:1-2 NKJV)

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
(Gen. 1:26-27 NKJV)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. ... 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
(John 1:1-3, 14 NKJV)

Old Testament

4 Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord [the only Lord].
(Deut. 6:4 AMP)

59 And may these words of mine, with which I have made supplication before the LORD, be near the LORD our God day and night, that He may maintain the cause of His servant and the cause of His people Israel, as each day may require, 60 that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other.
(1 Kings 8:59-60 NKJV)

8 I am the LORD, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images.
(Isa. 42:8 NKJV)

New Testament

29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
(Mark 12:29-30 NIV)

1 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.
(John 17:1-5 NKJV)

20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
(John 17:20-23 NKJV)

4 Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. 5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), 6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.
(1 Cor. 8:4-6 NKJV)

20 Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.
(Gal. 3:20 NKJV)

5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus...
(1 Tim 2:5 NKJV)

19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
(Jam. 2:19 NKJV)
