Principle
God is eternal.
Explanation
The Bible asserts that GOD has always existed and will always exist. GOD has always been alive and GOD cannot die.
Here are a few of numerous Scriptures that speak to the claim that GOD lives forever.
1 In that day they shall sing this song in the land of Judah: “Behold, we have a strong city; He will make our salvation its surrounding wall. 2 Open the gates; let the people enter who keep righteousness and guard the truth, 3 and who lay hold of the truth and keep peace, 4 because they hope forever in You, O Lord, the great and eternal God, 5 who humbles and brings down those who dwell on high; the strong cities You will cast down; You will bring them down to the ground.
(Isaiah 26:1-5 OSB)
1 Nebuchadnezzar the king, to all peoples, tribes, and languages who live in all the earth: May peace be multiplied to you. 2 I am pleased to report to you the signs and wonders the Most High God did with me. 3 How great and mighty is His kingdom, an eternal kingdom! His authority is from generation to generation.
(Daniel 4:1-3 OSB)
8 I saw the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart was glad,
And my tongue rejoiced exceedingly;
My flesh also shall dwell in hope.
10 For You will not abandon my soul to Hades
Nor allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
11 You made known to me the ways of life;
You will fill me with gladness in Your presence;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
(Psalm 15 [16]:8-11 OSB)
20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
(Romans 1:20 NIV
14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
(Hebrews 9:14 NIV)
