Psalm 124

If GOD had not been on our side when our enemies attacked, we would have been destroyed. Instead, He has kept us from harm. Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Psalm 133

It is in Zion that the LORD bestows His blessing, even life evermore.

Psalm 135

Praise the name of the LORD because He is good. GOD has chosen Jacob to be His own, yes, Israel is His treasured possession. The LORD is great, yes, greater than all gods (idols). He does whatever pleases Him, in heaven and on earth. GOD makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth, sends out lightning with rain and brings out wind from His storehouses. GOD struck down the firstborn of Egypt, both of men and animals. He sent His signs and wonders into their midst, against Pharaoh and all his servants. GOD struck down many nations, killing their kings—the Amorites, Bashan, and the Canaanites. He gave their land as an inheritance to His people Israel.

GOD’s name endures forever, His renown through all generations. The LORD will vindicate His people and have compassion upon His servants.

Psalm 136

Give thanks to the LORD for He is good. He is God of all gods, Lord of all lords. He alone does great wonders. He made the heavens by His understanding, spread the earth upon the waters, made the great lights including the sun, moon, and stars. It was GOD who struck down the firstborn of Egypt and brought Israel out from among them with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. He divided the Red Sea and brought Israel through it and led His people safely through the desert. He struck down mighty kings and gave their land to His children as an inheritance. He freed Israel from her enemies and gives food to every creature. Give thanks to the LORD, for His love endures forever!

Psalm 138

GOD is worthy of our praise and devotion because of His love and faithfulness. He has exalted His name and His word above all things. When I called, He answered me, made me bold and stouthearted. The glory of the LORD is great. Even though the LORD is on high He looks upon the lowly. Though we walk in the midst of trouble, the LORD preserves our life. He stretches out His hand against the anger of my enemies, with His right hand He saves me. GOD will fulfill His purpose for me. His love endures forever.
