Psalm 103

The LORD’s name is holy. He forgives our sins, heals our diseases, redeems our life from the pit and crowns us with love and compassion. GOD satisfies our desires with good things so that our youth is renewed. He works righteousness and justice for the oppressed. The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love. He won’t hold His anger back forever but He does not treat His children as their sins deserve—which is death. GOD’s love toward those who fear Him is as high as the heavens are above the earth. He has removed our sins as far away as the east is from the west.

GOD has compassion upon those who fear Him just as a father has for his children, because GOD knows how we are formed—that we are just dust. The LORD’s love is from everlasting to everlasting. He has established His throne in heaven and His kingdom rules over all things.

Psalm 104

GOD wraps Himself in light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a tent and lays the beams of His upper chambers upon their waters. The clouds are His chariot and He rides upon the wings of the wind. The wind is His messenger and fire His servant. GOD set the earth upon its foundations and it can never be moved. He covered the earth with the sea as a garment. The waters stood above the mountains but when GOD rebuked them they fled over the mountains and into the valleys where GOD assigned them. GOD set a boundary that the water can never cross so that they will never again cover the earth.

GOD makes springs pour water into the ravines, flowing between the mountains. He waters the mountains from His upper chambers and the earth is satisfied by the fruit of His work. GOD makes grass grow for cattle, plants for man, bringing forth food from earth. GOD brings forth wine, oil and bread for man.

GOD brings darkness when it is time for night. Lions roar and seek their food from GOD. GOD’s works are innumerable and all made in wisdom. All things look to GOD to give them their food at the proper time. GOD sends His Spirit to create new creatures and renew the face of the earth. When GOD looks upon the earth it trembles and the mountains smoke when He touches them.

Psalm 113

The LORD is exalted over all the nations and His glory above the heavens. He sits enthroned on high and stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth. There is none like Him. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ashes and seats them with princes. He gives children to the barren woman.

Psalm 114

GOD caused the earth to tremble at His presence when Israel came out of Egypt. He turned the rock into a pool of water, yes the hard rock into springs of gushing water.

Psalm 117

Great is the LORD’s love towards us and His faithfulness endures forever. Therefore He is to be praised.
