Reading

  • Psalm 76; 82; 84; 90; 92; 112; 115

Devotional

Psalm 76

GOD is known in Judah and His name is great among Israel. He dwells in Zion. GOD is more majestic than the mountains rich with game. GOD alone is to be feared. No one can stand before Him when He is angry. He pronounces judgment from heaven and the land feared and was quiet. GOD’s wrath against men brings Him praise. GOD breaks the spirit of the rulers and He is feared by the kings of the earth.

Psalm 82

GOD presides in the great assembly and judges the idols. All the nations are His inheritance.

Psalm 84

GOD is almighty, the God of Jacob. He is a sun and shield, and He gives favor and honor, withholding no good thing from the blameless.

Psalm 90

GOD is our dwelling place throughout all generations. GOD reigns from everlasting to everlasting. He returns men to dust, sweeping them away in the sleep of death. GOD sets our sins before Himself — even the secret ones are not hidden. GOD’s wrath is as great as the fear due Him.

Psalm 92

GOD’s works are great and His thoughts profound. He is exalted forever. He is upright. He is our rock, and there is no wickedness in Him.

Psalm 115

GOD is in heaven and does whatever pleases Him. He is our help and shield. He remembers us and blesses those who fear Him, both great and small. The highest heavens belong to GOD and He has given man the earth.
