April 22 – Seeing GOD in the Psalms (Part 4)

Reading

  • Psalm 61; 62; 64; 69

Devotional

As we journey through the Psalms, our daily focus is upon what we learn of GOD. Today we learn that GOD:

  1. Has been my refuge and strong tower against the foe.
  2. Has heard my vows and given me the heritage of those who fear His name.
  3. Provides rest and salvation.
  4. Is my rock and my salvation.
  5. Is my fortress.
  6. Provides me with hope.
  7. Is my refuge.
  8. Is strong and loving.
  9. Will reward each person according to their deeds.
  10. Will shoot our enemies with arrows and strike them down.
  11. Will turn the tongue of the enemy against them and bring them to ruin.
  12. Knows our folly and guilt.
  13. Knows how we are scorned, disgraced and shamed.
  14. Cherishes the praise of our singing more than sacrifices.
  15. Hears the needy.
  16. Does not despise His captive people.
  17. Will save Zion and rebuild the cities of Judah.

Psalm 69:30-31 says:

I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bull, Which has horns and hooves.
